This Cancellation Policy explains how order cancellations and order changes are handled at malvêtu.

We want customers to understand the process before placing an order. Many malvêtu pieces are produced after order confirmation through professional production and fulfillment partners. Because of this, the cancellation window can be short once an order begins moving into preparation, production, or fulfillment.

If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible.

Throughout this policy, “malvêtu,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the legal operator of malvetu.com.

2. The important point

A cancellation request is easiest to handle immediately after the order is placed.

Once an order enters preparation, production, fulfillment, packing, carrier processing, or shipment, cancellation may no longer be possible.

This is because many malvêtu pieces are produced after order confirmation, and the process can begin quickly.

3. How to request a cancellation

To request a cancellation, contact:

Use the subject line:

Cancellation Request

Please include:

  • order number

  • full name

  • email address used at checkout

  • reason for the request

  • the item or items you want to cancel

  • whether you also need an address, size, color, or product correction

A cancellation request is not confirmed until malvêtu confirms it by email.

4. When cancellation may be possible

Cancellation may be possible if the order has not yet entered production, fulfillment, packing, carrier processing, or shipment.

If the cancellation request is approved, we will cancel the eligible item or order and arrange the appropriate refund through the original payment method where possible.

Refund processing times may vary depending on Shopify Payments, PayPal, your bank, card provider, or payment method.

5. When cancellation may no longer be possible

Cancellation may no longer be possible once an order has entered any of the following stages:

  • production preparation

  • product production

  • fulfillment

  • quality handling

  • packing

  • shipping label creation

  • carrier processing

  • shipment

  • delivery route

  • delivery completion

At that point, the order may already be committed to production or delivery.

If cancellation is no longer possible, the order will continue through the normal fulfillment and delivery process. You may still be able to request a return, exchange, or refund after delivery if the order qualifies under our Returns & Exchanges or Refund Policy, or if applicable law gives you additional rights.

6. Order changes

Order changes may only be possible before the order enters production or fulfillment.

This includes changes to:

  • size

  • color

  • product

  • quantity

  • shipping address

  • customer name

  • email address

  • delivery details

If you notice an error, contact hello@malvetu.com immediately.

Once the order has moved into production, fulfillment, or shipment, changes may no longer be available.

7. Address changes

Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

If you need to correct an address, contact:

Address Change Request

Include:

  • order number

  • full name

  • email address used at checkout

  • current shipping address

  • corrected shipping address

We will review the request. Address changes are only possible where the order status still allows it.

If an order ships to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, the package may be delayed, returned, undeliverable, or delivered incorrectly. Additional shipping charges may apply for reshipment where reshipment is available.

8. Size or color changes

If you selected the wrong size or color, contact hello@malvetu.com immediately.

Use the subject line:

Order Change Request

Include:

  • order number

  • full name

  • email address used at checkout

  • original size or color

  • requested size or color

Size and color changes may only be possible before the order enters production or fulfillment.

Once production or fulfillment begins, the selected size and color may be locked.

9. Duplicate orders

If you accidentally placed a duplicate order, contact us immediately at:

Duplicate Order Request

Include both order numbers if available.

If the duplicate order has not yet entered production or fulfillment, we may be able to cancel it.

If the duplicate order has already entered production, fulfillment, or shipment, cancellation may no longer be possible.

10. Mistakes after checkout

Please review your order confirmation as soon as you receive it.

Check:

  • product

  • size

  • color

  • quantity

  • shipping address

  • email address

  • payment method

  • order total

If anything is incorrect, contact customer care immediately.

A delay in contacting us can reduce the chance that we can cancel or change the order before production or fulfillment begins.

11. Orders already shipped

If an order has already shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

Once shipped, the order is controlled by the carrier and will continue through the delivery process.

If you no longer want the item after delivery, review our Returns & Exchanges and Refund Policy to see whether the item may qualify for return, exchange, or refund.

12. Refused delivery

Refusing delivery does not automatically cancel an order.

If a package is refused, returned to sender, abandoned, delayed, or held by customs or a carrier, the order will be reviewed according to the circumstances.

Original shipping charges, return shipping costs, customs charges, carrier fees, or reshipment costs may not be refundable where permitted by law.

If you no longer want an order, contact customer care before refusing delivery so we can guide you properly.

13. Customs, duties, and unpaid import charges

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, carrier handling fees, brokerage fees, or local charges.

If a customer refuses to pay required customs or import charges, the package may be delayed, returned, abandoned, or destroyed according to customs or carrier rules.

A refused customs payment does not automatically cancel the order.

Where a package is returned because customs or import charges were not paid, any refund or reshipment option will depend on the order status, product condition, return status, costs incurred, and applicable law.

14. Cancellation by malvêtu

malvêtu may cancel or refuse an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so.

This may include:

  • suspected fraud

  • payment failure

  • payment risk

  • chargeback risk

  • incorrect pricing

  • incorrect product information

  • unavailable product

  • production limitation

  • fulfillment restriction

  • shipping restriction

  • incomplete or invalid address

  • abuse of discounts or promotions

  • unauthorized resale concern

  • legal or compliance issue

  • technical error

If malvêtu cancels an order after payment has been captured, we will refund the cancelled amount through the original payment method where possible.

15. Fraud review and payment verification

Some orders may be reviewed before production or fulfillment begins.

Fraud review may involve payment status, order details, billing information, shipping information, device information, transaction signals, payment-provider checks, or other fraud-prevention tools.

If we need more information, we may contact you using the email address provided at checkout.

If the order cannot be verified, malvêtu may cancel the order and issue the appropriate refund where payment has been captured.

16. Promotions and limited releases

Orders placed during promotions, limited releases, high-volume periods, or campaign launches may enter processing quickly.

Cancellation and change requests remain subject to order status.

A promotion, discount, or limited release does not guarantee that cancellation will remain available after the order is placed.

17. Pre-orders and special releases

If malvêtu offers pre-orders, early-access releases, or special release products, the product page or checkout may include specific timing and cancellation information.

Where a pre-order or special release has separate cancellation conditions, those conditions will apply to the relevant order, together with any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be limited.

18. Digital gift cards

If malvêtu offers digital gift cards in the future, gift card cancellation rules may differ from physical apparel orders.

Gift card terms will apply where gift cards are active.

19. Refunds after approved cancellation

If a cancellation is approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method where possible.

Payment methods may include:

  • Shopify Payments

  • PayPal

Refund timing depends on the payment provider, card issuer, bank, or account provider.

malvêtu does not control how long your bank, PayPal, or card provider takes to show the refund after it has been issued.

20. Cancellation request declined

If a cancellation request is declined because the order has already entered production, fulfillment, carrier processing, or shipment, customer care will inform you.

The order will continue through the normal delivery process.

After delivery, you may review our Returns & Exchanges and Refund Policy to see whether the item qualifies for return, exchange, refund, replacement, or another remedy.

21. Damaged, defective, misprinted, or wrong items

If your order cannot be cancelled and you later receive an item that is damaged, defective, misprinted, or different from what you ordered, contact:

  • clear photos of the item

  • clear photos of the issue

  • photo of the packaging where relevant

  • brief description of the problem

We will review eligible claims and, where appropriate, may offer a replacement, exchange, refund, or other remedy according to our policies and applicable law.

22. Wrong size ordered by the customer

If you ordered the wrong size and the order has not yet entered production or fulfillment, contact us immediately and we will review whether a size change is possible.

If the order has already entered production or fulfillment, the size may no longer be changeable.

After delivery, wrong-size returns or exchanges are handled under our Returns & Exchanges policy. Customers should review the Size Guide before placing an order.

23. Customer care response times

We review cancellation and order-change requests as carefully as possible.

Response times may vary during:

  • launches

  • high-volume periods

  • weekends

  • public holidays

  • international delivery cases

  • payment review

  • customer service volume

Sending a cancellation request does not pause production, fulfillment, carrier processing, or shipment unless malvêtu confirms cancellation by email.

24. Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this Cancellation Policy limits statutory rights that cannot legally be limited.

Customers in different countries, states, provinces, or territories may have mandatory rights relating to cancellations, delivery, defective goods, misdescribed goods, refunds, repairs, replacements, or other consumer protections.

Where this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection law, the mandatory law will apply.

If you want to cancel or change an order, this page applies first.

If the order has already shipped or been delivered, the Returns & Exchanges and Refund Policy may apply.

We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in production process, fulfillment timing, payment methods, delivery methods, legal obligations, or customer service procedures.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
