This Size Guide is designed to help you choose your malvêtu size with confidence.

malvêtu pieces are apparel products with fashion-led proportions. Some pieces may be oversized, relaxed, structured, or intentionally loose depending on the product. Before placing an order, review the measurements on the product page and compare them with a garment you already own and like.

Because many malvêtu pieces are produced after order confirmation through professional production and fulfillment partners, choosing the right size before purchase is important.

1. The most important sizing rule

Use the garment measurements, rather than only your usual size.

A size label can feel different from brand to brand. The most reliable method is to compare the measurements of the malvêtu item with a similar piece you already own.

For T-shirts, compare:

• body length
• chest width
• shoulder width, where available
• sleeve length, where available
• overall fit intention

2. malvêtu fit language

malvêtu may use the following fit descriptions.

Regular

A cleaner everyday fit. The piece is intended to sit closer to a standard T-shirt silhouette.

Relaxed

A looser fit with more room through the body. Suitable for customers who prefer more ease without an extreme oversized look.

Oversized

A deliberately larger silhouette. The garment is intended to look wider, looser, and more fashion-led than a standard T-shirt.

Boxy

A wider and shorter proportion, often with a stronger shoulder and a more structured visual shape.

Heavyweight

A denser fabric feel. Heavyweight garments may feel more structured than lighter T-shirts and can sit differently on the body.

The exact fit depends on the product. Always follow the product page first.

3. How to choose your size

Step 1: Take a T-shirt you already like

Choose a T-shirt that fits the way you want your malvêtu piece to fit.

Lay it flat on a table or clean surface.

Step 2: Measure the garment

Use a measuring tape and measure the garment flat.

Measure in centimeters or inches.

Step 3: Compare with the product chart

Compare your garment measurements with the malvêtu product measurements.

Focus first on chest width and body length.

Step 4: Decide the fit you want

Choose according to your preferred silhouette:

• for a cleaner fit, choose the size closest to your own garment
• for a relaxed fit, choose slightly larger measurements
• for a more oversized look, choose a larger size if the product page supports it
• for a sharper fit, consider the smaller option if you are between sizes

4. How to measure a T-shirt

Body length

Measure from the highest point of the shoulder near the neck down to the bottom hem.

Chest width

Measure across the front of the T-shirt from one underarm seam to the other.

This is a flat measurement. Double it if you want to estimate the full chest circumference.

Shoulder width

Measure from one shoulder seam to the other across the back or front, depending on the garment structure.

Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.

Hem width

Measure across the bottom hem from one side to the other.

5. Garment measurements versus body measurements

Garment measurements are the measurements of the clothing itself.

Body measurements are the measurements of your body.

For T-shirts, garment measurements are usually more useful because they let you compare directly with a T-shirt you already own.

A garment should usually be larger than your body measurement because it needs room to sit, move, and drape properly.

6. Measurement tolerance

Apparel measurements may vary slightly because garments are physical products.

A small measurement difference may occur because of:

• fabric behavior
• cutting and sewing tolerance
• measurement method
• garment handling
• production process
• washing or care after delivery

A slight measurement difference does not automatically mean the item is defective.

If you believe the item is materially different from the product measurement or description, contact customer care before wearing or washing it.

7. T-shirt size chart

Use this section for the official product measurements.

Important: the exact numbers must be added from the final product specifications before publishing.

T-shirt garment measurements

Measurements should be shown in both:

• centimeters
• inches

Recommended format:

cm / in

Example format only:

74 cm / 29.1 in

Do not publish example measurements unless they match the actual product.

8. If the product has its own size chart

The product page always takes priority.

Some products may use a different fit, fabric, cut, or measurement structure.

If a product page includes a specific size chart, use that chart for that product.

9. If you are between sizes

If you are between sizes, choose based on how you want the garment to sit.

Choose the smaller size if you prefer:

• a cleaner fit
• less width
• less length
• a sharper silhouette

Choose the larger size if you prefer:

• a looser fit
• more room through the body
• a stronger oversized look
• more ease through the shoulders and chest

For oversized products, check the product page carefully before sizing up.

10. Oversized T-shirts

If a malvêtu T-shirt is described as oversized, it is designed to fit larger than a standard T-shirt.

This may mean:

• wider body
• dropped shoulder
• more room through the chest
• longer sleeve
• heavier visual shape
• more relaxed drape

If you normally size up in standard T-shirts, you may not need to size up in an oversized malvêtu T-shirt. Compare measurements first.

11. Fit preference

Fit is personal.

Two customers with the same body measurements may prefer different sizes because of styling, body shape, silhouette, and personal taste.

Before ordering, decide whether you want the piece to feel:

• cleaner
• relaxed
• oversized
• boxy
• long
• cropped
• structured
• loose

Then compare the product measurements with a garment you already wear.

12. International sizing

malvêtu sells to customers in different markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

Size labels can feel different across countries and brands. A medium in one brand may not match a medium in another.

For the most accurate choice, use the measurements rather than relying only on the size label.

13. Model sizing notes

Where model photos are used, each product page should include model sizing notes where available.

Recommended product-page format:

Model is [height] and wears size [size].

Optional additional detail:

Fit shown: relaxed / oversized / regular.

Do not add model measurements unless they are accurate and approved for that product image.

14. Before you order

Before placing an order, we recommend checking:

• product fit description
• garment measurements
• size chart
• product photos
• model size note, where available
• fabric weight
• product care instructions
• Returns & Exchanges policy

This helps reduce wrong-size orders and gives you a clearer idea of the garment before purchase.

15. Wrong size orders

Customers are responsible for reviewing the Size Guide before placing an order.

If the item received is the size ordered, and the issue is that the customer selected the wrong size, the request is handled under our Returns & Exchanges policy.

A wrong size selected by the customer may not qualify for a free return, free exchange, or free replacement unless required by applicable law or unless the item received was incorrect, damaged, defective, misprinted, or materially different from what was ordered.

16. Size exchanges

If you ordered the wrong size, contact customer care as soon as possible after delivery.

• whether the item has been worn or washed

Size exchanges are reviewed according to product condition, product availability, destination, timing, and applicable law.

17. Inspect before wearing or washing

Please inspect the garment when it arrives.

Check:

• size label
• product
• color
• print
• visible condition
• fit before removing tags or wearing
• measurements if you believe the size is incorrect

If there is an issue, contact customer care before wearing, washing, altering, or returning the item.

18. How to measure if you believe the size is wrong

If you believe the item does not match the size ordered, lay the garment flat and measure it carefully.

Take photos showing:

• the full garment laid flat
• the measurement tape from start to end
• the size label
• the area of concern

19. Care can affect fit

Washing, drying, ironing, and storage can affect how a garment sits over time.

To help preserve the garment:

• follow the care instructions
• avoid excessive heat
• avoid tumble drying where not recommended
• avoid ironing directly over printed areas
• wash inside out where recommended
• treat heavyweight garments with care
